Es’hail-1 entered commercial service on

18th December 2013,
Qatar National Day

Es’hail-1 is currently providing high quality, premium DTH television content from the key 25.5° East geostationary orbital position broadcasting hotspot neighborhood for customers such as beIN SPORTS and Al Jazeera.

A high-powered SSL satellite with a design life of 15 years, Es’hail-1 has both Ku- and Ka-band payload, which provides the region with the most advanced and sophisticated services, including broadcast, telecommunications and broadband.

With the success of Es’hail-1 and the growing demand for a range of satellite services in the MENA region, we designed, built, and launched our second satellite, Es’hail-2 in 2018.

Es’hailSat launched the second satellite on

15th November 2018

This high-powered, advanced satellite has further boosted broadband delivery, broadcasting and global connectivity in Qatar, the entire MENA region and beyond. Es’hail-2 is manufactured in Japan by MELCO (Mitsubishi Electric Corporation).

Es’hail-2 has Ku-band and Ka-band capabilities and supports TV distribution, telecoms, mobility and government services to strategic stakeholders and commercial customers who value broadcasting independence, interference resilience, quality of service and wide geographical coverage.

The satellite also provides greater capability for anti-jamming protection as well as redundancy and back-up for Es’hail-1.

Es’hail-2 will also provide the first

Radio Amateur Satellite
Corporation (AMSAT) in GEO

Es’hail-2 also supports the first Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT) geostationary communication capability that connects users across the visible globe in one single hop and in real-time. It allows the AMSAT community to validate and demonstrate their DVB standard.
