JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:

Provide technological and commercial contribution in activities relating to developing new applications and solutions to customers requirements Conduct thorough technical feasibility studies as well as contribute to assess commercial consequences in mainly liaising with Business development, sales and capacity management engineers.

Job Description:

  • Conduct all system and customer/service-level requirements analysis and calculations and identify capacity requirements.
  • Advise customers on solutions that are easily implemented, cost-effective and technically viable.
  • Contribute to the assessment of commercial consequences of new services.
  • Develop KA band applications in broadcasting and broadband data distribution.
  • Study new service proposals/requirements and recommend technical and commercial feasibility.
  • Develop technical and programmatic proposals for the potential customers
  • Develop partnerships with end-user terminal/equipment manufacturers and integrators.
  • Provide technical assistance to Marketing to enhance product promotion and provide key selling points from a technical perspective.
  • Conduct market research and technology evaluations to identify applied solutions and prepare recommendations for management
  • Maintain close liaison with Business Development, technical teams and Sales to get details of new services and specific customer requirements.
  • Recommend improvements to product development policy and implement procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in line with best practice.
  • Provide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of Es’hailSat products and services taking into account ‘best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
  • Assist accurate Management reports to provide timely feedback to the Sales Director on new product development initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  BS Electrical or Telecom Engineering or equivalent degree
  • In-depth understanding of satellite communications.
  • Knowledge of satellite designs and limitations
  • In-depth understanding of satellite link analysis
  • Working knowledge of satellite analysis tools

Minimum Experience:

8 to 10 years of experience in satellite communications and system calculations.

Knowledge of types of services and techniques relating to the job (calculations, assignments etc.

KA band experience is a plus
